Irina, Electronics Engineer

Irina ist Hardware-Ingenieurin bei Safran Vectronix

I work as an electronics engineer in hardware development and started in this position in 2020. I already got to know Safran Vectronix as a company and employer during my vocational training: I was able to complete my fourth year of apprenticeship as an electronics technician here. I look back on the training with pleasure: Various companies throughout Switzerland have joined forces in “libs Industrielle Berufslehren Schweiz”. As an apprentice, you complete each year of training in a different company. And also on the site of Safran Vectronix, various companies participate in this program.

After my apprenticeship and a trip around the world, I started studying electrical engineering at HSR Rapperswil (Switzerland). I also completed my bachelor’s degree there. Since then, I have joined the Research & Development department at Team Safran Vectronix and I am happy to get a taste of the practical world again. I think it is a pretty good sign that I have returned to Safran Vectronix after my studies! I like the interaction within the team. We all work in a very family-like environment. In particular, for my area of work, a fully equipped workplace is included. This is especially important for me because I work with electronic components and measuring instruments every day.

My tasks include, for example, evaluating components, comparing battery types for our devices, developing circuit diagrams or testing components so that they can be integrated without problems. It’s a great experience that my know-how supports the entire development process of a product. I find my work very exciting and varied.
