Back then, I applied for the advertised position in caretaking services, as it was called at Vectronix AG at that time. Since then, I have remained in my position and have continuously developed without moving within the company.

Originally, I am a trained carpenter and have gained valuable experience in this craft. Over the years, I have continued to develop and expand my knowledge. In 2012, I completed my training as a caretaker with a federal vocational diploma, which gave me in-depth expertise in the field of facility management.

My main tasks include managing and maintaining our premises and the surrounding environment, including building services. This includes setting up workplaces and supporting service providers such as cleaning companies, building services, lift and sanitation companies. Another important aspect of my work is energy management, where I make sure that we use our resources efficiently and sustainably.

What I particularly like about my work is the opportunity to act independently and still regularly work together with Safran Vectronix employees. I enjoy developing and implementing changes and improvements. The wide variety of our field makes my job extremely varied and exciting.

In my position, taking initiative and responsibility is very important. Excellent knowledge and in-depth understanding of technical systems are essential, as is expertise in construction trades such as plumbing, electrical installations, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, cooling and cleaning.

In the site management team, we are a well-established team of two. Renato perfectly complements the team with his knowledge from his apprenticeship as an electrician. In this way, we help each other and meet the diverse tasks and demands.

My goals for the future are to renovate the building shell of our office building to increase both energy efficiency and improve the working environment for our employees. The plan is also to improve the parking space situation with a reservation tool. Another concern is to continue to optimally maintain the infrastructure of our properties.

It is important to me that we treat each other thoughtfully and with respect. Respectful relationships promote a positive working atmosphere and facilitate cooperation.

When it comes to giving advice for new employees, I would tend to hold back. I think everyone should gather their own experience and find their own path in the company.
