“The variety of my tasks and the great team spirit at Safran Vectronix make my work exciting and challenging. Working together on projects and finding new solutions is truly rewarding.”

Nexhat, Strategic Procurement

I work in Strategic Purchasing at Safran Vectronix and have been with the company since February 2008. I started in Process Design/Engineering, where I gained my first experience. Eight years later, I moved to Operational Purchasing, and I’ve now been working in Strategic Purchasing since 2020. I am already in my third position at Vectronix, which has enabled me to continuously develop myself.

In February 2025, I will have had 17 years at Vectronix. Following my training as a polymechanic, I worked in this field for a further three years. After that, I wanted to develop further and at the same time completed my training as a graduate technician for company processes and changed jobs. At Safran Vectronix, I had the opportunity to familiarise myself with the new job and to complete my training alongside.

My background includes training as a polymechanic and further training as a technician for company processes. This combination of basic technical training and business knowledge helps me tremendously in my daily work.

In my current position in Strategic Purchasing, I am responsible for project purchasing. This includes coordination with the team and the project team, the procurement of materials from sample to series production handover, and the development of supplier strategies and product group strategies.

What I particularly like about my work is the contact I have with internal and external people. The activities are highly varied, as I procure materials with different requirements and technical specifications. This variety makes my daily work exciting and challenging.

Basic technical training is an advantage for my position. It makes it possible to better understand the requirements and specifications of the materials that need to be procured and to communicate with suppliers on an equal footing.
Our main strength is the team. From the manager to the team members, we support each other a lot.

Simply put, our team spirit is exemplary, which makes collaboration effective and enjoyable. My goal is always to keep the three aspects of price, deadline and quality in balance. In addition, I would like to be prepared for geopolitical changes in the procurement market in order to be able to react early.

I would advise new employees to be curious and open to new things. We have long-standing employees who have worked at Vectronix for decades and are always open to questions. Use this opportunity to benefit from their knowledge and experience.
