Philipp, Head of Product Management + Integrated Lifetime Service (ILS)

I have been on board with Safran Vectronix for a few years now. To be precise, since 2008. At that time – it was still during my studies – I heard a lecture from Safran Vectronix. After this, I sent an application directly to them. Over the past few years, I have held various positions: As an Application Engineer, as a Product Manager for various devices and now as Head of Product Management. It was always important for me to have a strong relationship with our customers.

In my current role, I am responsible for the strategic development of our product portfolio, together with a team of product and customer support managers. My broad technical background is essential to my position: I started with an apprenticeship as an electro mechanic, followed by studies in electronics, measurement and control technology, which I completed with a degree in engineering. Finally, I completed my master’s degree in the field of “Integrated Product Development”.

Our products contain a lot of technology in a very small space. This fact still inspires me today. The majority of our processes for developing new products are bottom-up. They are based on best-practice experiences, so that every individual can influence the success of our company. We all have the opportunity to drive and shape things.
