Job Description

 The Southeast Asian governmental market (Defense, Law enforcement, Border protection) is projected to grow significantly in the coming years. This market portfolio is pretty fragmented and diverse. The introduction of Safran products, the intensification of Safran’s recognition and the anticipation of partnerships with domestic and international players in the region are supposed to bolster the growth prospects of Safran. For this challenge, we are looking for a motivated and ambitioned sales manager based in Switzerland but ready to travel to the region frequently. 

REGIONAL SALES MANAGER SE ASIA

 YOUR KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Secure orders from gonvernmental and industrial customers
  • Promote the Safran portable optronics product portfolio to existing and potential customers
  • Continue developing the markets together with the domestic business partners
  • Identify and build relationships with key customers
  • Conduct trainings and product demonstrations
  • Understand and develop customer requirements
  • Manage and negotiate RFI’s, RFQ’s, tenders and associated contracts
  • Develop marketing strategies to address the different markets appropriately and to boost SAFRAN’s brand recognition
  • Participate in important exhibitions and conferences
  • Support, evaluate, develop and improve business partner networks and industrial partnerships
     

YOUR PROFILE:

  • We are looking for a person that is familiar with the SE Asia region and ideally understands its defense market from former positions

  • You think strategically with a proven record of government sales of high tech products and systems

  • You are capable of switching between different stakeholders in the complex buyer structures

  • You have a technical background with complementary education in sales management and marketing

  • You like to dive into end user applications and into technical negotiations (sensors, electronics, software)

  • You have excellent communication & negotiation skills as well as intercultural awareness in dealing with our customers and partners

  • Knowledge in trade and contract law is advantageous

  • You are a team player who understands to embark Safran Vectronix’ departments and the international Safran group collective

  • Fluency in English is mandatory while German and any other language skill would be highly beneficial

  • You are willing to travel and you consider staying in the region for an extended period plain sailing

  • Your home base will be in Heerbrugg, Switzerland.
