«I like my job because of the variety it offers: I work on projects with very different colleagues from a wide range of departments.»

Rémy, Specialist Continuous Improvement

Remy, Praktikant Continuous Improvement

I started working at Safran Electronics & Defense in 2018 as a Supply Chain apprentice. I was doing production planning for the Inertial Navigation Unit production facility in Montluçon (France) and started to participate in some continuous improvement projects. In 2019, I had the opportunity to continue my studies with a Master of Science in Engineering specialized in Industrial Supply Chain. In parallel, I joined the Continuous Improvement team to continue my career at Safran Electronics & Defense Montluçon as an apprentice engineer.

I joined Safran Vectronix in February 2022 for my international end-of-studies internship and was assigned to the continuous improvement department. And then I received the offer to join as a permanent employee in this area! It’s a very good experience! I like my job for the diversity it offers: I work on different projects, with different departments, different people and have the guarantee of being free from routine. What’s nice about my work on process improvement is that I can bring a team together to overcome challenges. It can be challenging, but at the end, when the problems are solved and you can celebrate the success with the team, it’s really a great moment. Moreover, I had the opportunity to attend language courses, which helped me to improve my German.

When I arrived at Safran Vectronix, I was impressed by the fact that we manage the entire product life cycle on site, from R&D to production, sales and after-sales service. This helps develop good communication between departments. In my opinion, what characterizes Safran Vectronix the most is the team spirit. It was easy for me to integrate into the company, people are involved in their work and always ready to help.
